About PSE

The Process Systems Engineering group actively engages in the modelling, optimisation and advanced control of complex systems – typical examples of which include particulate systems (such as polymerisation and crystallisation), complex physical systems (such as chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, food processing), bioprocesses and environmental processes.

Our primary goals include fundamental research, high-quality training (both within and external to the university system), industrial applications of our research and technology transfer into a broad range of industrial sectors. Our scope of expertise includes system identification, data reconciliation, mechanistic modelling, advanced process control, fault detection and diagnosis, and artificial intelligence.
